The Bootie Cycle was a revolutionary folding bicycle in its day. Unlike its only competitor, the Moulton Stowaway, which split into two pieces for transport and storage, the Bootie didn’t have to be taken to pieces to fold. You merely loosened three wing nuts to carry it in one hand like a suitcase.
It was advertised as a ‘motoring accessory’ and its name was chosen because it fitted in the boot of a car. This example is the 1st generation model (1965-68) and is in very good all round condition and ready to ride.
