This is a top quality machine on a par with any of the other makers of the day. It’s a fast lightweight road racing bicycle that could be considered the Golf GTI Turbo of the time.
Halfords claimed to be “the largest cycle accessory retailers in the Kingdom”. I do not have their catalogues for different years, and could not see this model in the 1910 Halfords catalogue. Either it is slightly earlier or later than 1910, or it was especially built to a customer’s order. The fittings are all upmarket, just as the Halfords catalogue claims: “The Halford Cycle Co do not keep old stock, but everything of the best”. It’s in excellent unrestored cosmetic condition. The steering head transfer (decal) is faded but the Halford name is legible. It’s ready to ride (fast).
